Stretchy Doxie does not collect any information about you.
The walking distance and steps read from Health, and your dogs and stats, are never sent to the developer or any third party. No account is required. (As described under “What is stored on your device,” this data is saved to your own iCloud.)
To show your dog's length and your stats, the app reads only “Walking + Running Distance” and “Steps” from Health. It reads no other data and never writes to Health.
This data is used only for display on your device. It is never sent off the device, used for advertising, sold, or shared with third parties. You can stop access at any time in the Health app on your iPhone.
To keep the widget's length up to date while your iPhone is locked, the app reads the walking distance and steps counted by your iPhone's motion sensor. This is also used only for display on your device and is never sent off the device.
Only when you tap “Start from my location” in “View on map”, the app uses your current location once, as the start point for laying your dog across the map. The chosen place is stored only on your device and is not sent to iCloud or the developer.
Maps are provided by Apple's map service.
Only when you choose to save an image from “Share as image”, the app adds that image to Photos. It never reads the contents of your photo library.
Your dogs' coats and names, when they arrived and how long they are, a record of roughly when and how much each dog grew (used for the marks along its body and “walked around …” labels), the badges you earned, the passengers you met, the scenery you chose, and your notification settings are stored on your device for use by the app and widget.
If you're signed in to iCloud, this data (except the scenery) is also saved to your own iCloud so it can be restored when you reinstall the app or change iPhones. The developer cannot see data stored in your iCloud.
Alerts for new pups and badges are local notifications created on your device. No information is sent to a server for notifications.
Purchases to adopt a pup with a chosen coat are handled by Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive your payment information.
The app contains no analytics tools and no ads.
